Black Magic
For a while I had been considering replacement guitar straps for a few of my guitars with heavy-mileage and/or just plain boring straps, especially for my black-bodied-with-white-pick-guard Waterloo acoustic. The guitar finish is matte black, and I had been using a well worn plain black matte utilitarian "seatbelt-strap" on it for the past year of ownership, and decided to search for new options, imagining I would likely have to add a color-pattern to any new strap, rather then my preference for keeping the black-white color scheme. I was looking for some variation in design that would elevate the look of the beautiful guitar. The Atmos web site popped up during the Internet search, I had not heard of this brand, but the website pictured beautiful guitar straps, and the Black Magic seemed to offer the dark base color to fit the darker color I had envisioned for the new strap, but it included some stitching providing intriguing color variation in the website photos. After reading a bit more about the company and its seemingly well-constructed, hand-made straps, I placed an order for the Black Magic (and the Taiao and Electro Bliss straps). When I received the order, I was immediately struck by the beautiful felt packing bags and it was exciting to open each to reveal exquisitely made and presented guitar straps. The Black Magic was the first strap I unfurled and set up the quick release acoustic guitar adapter and the dark color with the textured black weave was the perfect embellishment to the black of the guitar body. But the kicker was the brown-threaded Jacquard pattern woven thought out the black base fabric, providing a shimmering pop of bronze color shine which fluctuates depending upon how the light strikes the material. Through all angles of viewing, the Black Magic provided a subtle-yet definitive shimmer of beauty that accented the guitar perfectly. Construction and quality appears excellent, the visual impact of the colors are beautiful, and the presentation packaging is over-the-top! Well done!!
