Known for its friendly ‘cheet cheet’ call and energetic flying antics, the Pīwakawaka is one of the most common and widely distributed native birds on the New Zealand mainland.

Our Pīwakawaka guitar strap features a locally woven cotton base material with an expertly embroidered Fantail design. Premium leather handcrafted and embossed by our local craftsmen is tied together with this beautiful Pīwakawaka design using solid brushed brass buckles.

Stunning manu māori straps!

After way too long I decided it was time for a new strap. Coincidentally, I had just followed Atmos on social media because A) they're a small Kiwi business I'd like to support, and B) because they make stunning straps! As another coincidence, Atmos had just released their limited edition native wildlife straps featuring not one but TWO of my favourite manu māori, native birds.

I absolutely love the natural off-white strap featuring these cute embroidered Pīwakawaka and Kea! I couldn't choose which was best so I got both, one for my electric and one for my acoustic. I'll be touring with these!
